Parties Tailored to Fit Anyone

Let’s explore the possibility that a party could be tailored for anyone, despite your gender, personality, belief, culture, etc.

When you think of a party what comes to mind?

I recall house parties in high school which were often fun, boisterous and occasionally out of control.

Sometimes I will think of a public party in a bar, pub or rave hall.

Since I’ve been married, running my own business and approaching 40 years old, there’s a lot less time for big social events so the need for personal parties is much more important.

Personal Parties
What is a personal party? Well, this isn’t a trademark name, but I’m using it for the purpose of explaining how you can have an unlimited amount of fun on your own without anyone around.

First, you must be alone. Second, block out a few hours of time. Finally, create your party game plan.

Below are some interesting clips of a gentlemen having some solo time, for the first time.

Apparently his close friend recommended having time alone, as she prefers alone time to social time.

Arti Patel from Smart Living Global BC writes about her take on the importance of having time alone.

She further quotes life coach Tamera Lay on the positive impact of alone time on our self-esteem and self-confidence,

“…spending time with yourself is the best way to figure out what you like — without any influences getting in the way. This increases self-confidence because the more we know about ourselves, the more confident we can be when we go out into our every day lives…”

Some of the activities Patel suggests that we could enjoy alone include travel, time with nature, celebrating our birthday, taking a class, taking a meditation retreat and rewarding ourselves.

Private Parties
Private parties, as we all know, are limited to people that are invited, so the comfort level is much higher that open public events, as we have a good chance of meeting someone we know.

This is a great way to make new connections if you are interested in networking, meeting that special someone or even a new friend.

Public Parties
Some of us love public parties as it will bring lots of excitement, opportunities to socialize, dance, have a drink or meet myriad’s of new people.

In some cases, it takes more confidence to put yourself out there. If you’re looking to have tons of fun and challenge yourself to go out of your comfort zone, then this is definitely for you.

I suggest to pick your type of party wisely. Some public parties can be very intense or more aggressive whereas others could be gentler and more relaxed.

Here is an intense dance party with a professional DJ.

This party is more relaxed at the Vancouver Folk Fest.

It is now clear that parties can have many variations and you can customize it to your own personality.

Whether you are more quiet and introverted or boisterous and extroverted there’s always a party tailored to fit anyone!
